چکیده
Abstract This research aimed to present the improvement of cementitious material in high-volume fly ash using only one alkali activator. Fly was used as a partial replacement for Portland cement type I, varying from 0 60% by weight binder. Concentrations NaOH 0.00 1.25 molar were Paste properties and mortar compressive strength at ages 3, 7, 14, 28, 60, 90 days water curing investigated. The results reveal that paste with an activator provides shorter initial setting time when compared control without use 0.50 concentration containing not exceeding 50% binder highest any age curing. At concentration, there is significant increase 28-day up 45% over mortar. In addition, higher (not 1.00 molar) has positive effect on content, especially longer periods.

متن کاملHigh-performance, High-volume Fly Ash Concrete for Sustainable Development
For a variety of reasons, the concrete construction industry is not sustainable. First, it consumes huge quantities of virgin materials. Second, the principal binder in concrete is portland cement, the production of which is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions that are implicated in global warming and climate change. Third, many concrete structures suffer from lack of durability whi...
متن کاملRecyclability of Concrete Pavement Incorporating High Volume of Fly Ash
Recyclable concrete pavement was made from fly ash and crushed limestone sand and gravel as aggregates so that the concrete pavement could be recycled to raw materials for cement production. With the aim to use as much fly ash as possible for the sustainable development of society, while achieving adequate strength development, pavement concrete having a cement-replacement ratio of 40% by mass ...

This article presents experimental research work oriented toward developing practical design tools for industrial application, and illustrates the potential benefits of the synergistic effect of an ASTM C 618 Class F fly ash (FA) and a high-range polycarboxylate superplasticizer (SP) in the production of conventional concrete. The different concretes considered in this study were produced with ...
